  Why?

Why do we do what we do?

When Paul Harris founded Rotary back in 1914, his idea was to bring business people together so they could build relationships with like-minded people who believed in changing the world for the better. Their meetings were the foundation of today's Rotary clubs around the world, where people put “service above self.” Our work in the community and the world is not only the right thing to do, but it is the essence of Rotary.

These ideals still hold true today, where Rotaries around the world promote peace and goodwill through service and deeds for the better good.

It's in every Rotarian to want to give back to the community and make it a better place. With 1.2 Million members around the world we are trying to do our part to reach those goals.

Rotarians are exceedingly optimistic and hardly say Why? They usually say Why not, then get it done.
